“The pizza looked different because there were circles and splotches of mozzarella on there. On my slice there was a lot of tomato! I liked it, but it was definitely something a bit new” – Scarlett

After seven hours in the air, and another on the runway, the Jellies have made it to Boston. Many films were watched, and airplane meals were eaten, including scones with clotted cream and jam—obviously applied the Cornish way!
After a short bus ride, the Jellies made it to their accommodation for the next three nights, met up with Jelly Friend Matteo—who had travelled out before us—and quickly got ready for a meal at Applebee’s. You would never guess they had been awake for nearly 24 hours.
“The plane ride was very long, but the food was nice and I watched Frozen.” – Ezra
“I loved the mozzarella sticks at Applebees!” – Molly
Seven, sleepy Jellies made their way to Penpol School at 2am this morning, bags in hand and suitcases in tow, to launch Operation Waffle!
“The journey (from Cornwall) was very long, but as soon as we got to the airport it was like the movies. Everyone was just like they are in the movies, it was all calm and chill and I’m feeling pretty good about the plane and am excited to be here.” – Scarlett
Today we’ve started packing everything we need to go to America, which included something we’ve been putting off for weeks – breaking apart all of our attachments so they can fit in our suitcases!

Matteo
Today we held a non-uniform day at Penpol as well as a cake sale at break time. Everyone was so generous and we were even helped by Xanthe and Lily in Year 5 who sold bracelets to help us raise some money to get to America.
This week Molly, Isla and Scarlett had the chance to talk to the news desk at Heart Radio to share their Innovation Project idea and talk about what it means to be going to America. This morning their interview was broadcast as the top news item each hour!
