Visiting our School

On Foot or Bike

We strongly suggest that you walk or cycle to school where possible, providing the healthiest possible start to the day for your children. Our covered cycle storage allows for bikes and scooters to be stored securely and safe from the elements.

Train

If coming from further afield, we are a stone’s throw from Hayle Train Station – on the mainline to London.

Driving

Penpol School is situated on St George’s Road which does, at certain points of the day, become very busy and congested.

The footpath is very narrow, so we do ask all parents and visitors to proceed with patience and extreme caution to ensure the safety of those walking to school.

When parking, please ensure that crossing points are kept clear and visible. Please do not park on the single yellow lines as this causes other drivers to veer into the road.

Unfortunately there is no drop-off point or spare parking capacity within the school grounds for parents or visitors. However, 100 metres from the school at the end of Penpol Road is Foundry Square carpark. Not far from this is the ASDA supermarket, offering free parking.

Entering the School

All visitors coming to Penpol School must enter through the main office as directed by the signs.

If necessary, appropriate identification may be required before granting access. Please contact the office on 01736 753472 for further information.

Visitors to the school will be expected to sign-in on arrival and sign-out on departure. A guest badge will be issued which must be displayed at all times.

Mobility Access

Wheelchair access and step-free access are available at the entrance to the main office.
