“Penpol pupils are curious, creative and courageous learners. Our school community believes in authenticity as the foundations of deep-rooted learning. Through our rich and relevant curriculum, we nurture community-minded, forward-facing international citizens of the future.”

Welcome to Penpol School

Welcome to our school. I hope that you enjoy this website as an introduction to our very special learning community.

At Penpol, we know that every child is different. We celebrate this in our engaging creative curriculum, in personalised challenge at each stage of every lesson and in the way that we proudly serve all, with inclusivity at our core.

We embed learning in rich and vibrant contexts, giving real purpose to children’s lessons and making meaningful connections between subject disciplines. Outdoor and active learning is highly valued and we are committed to supporting our children to be outward facing: locally, nationally and internationally.

Children learn best when they are confident, understood and believed in and our pupils know that they are respected by each member of our fantastic staff team. Penpol is a place where pupils explore how best to work alongside others, developing skills and values which allow them to become community-minded citizens of the future.

As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher and our success as a school owes much to our partnership with families. We hope to work closely with you in the years ahead and would love to hear from you if you have any questions or would like to visit us.

The world we are preparing our pupils for never stands still. Exponential technological advances leave the future impossible to predict and the COVID-19 pandemic has provided huge challenges for children and their families. We embrace the need to continually evolve as a school. An ambitious cycle of research, evaluation, planning and development ensures that we remain true to our motto: War-rag War-barth – Forward Together.
