- Other Year Group Admissions
Children may start Reception in the September after they are four.
Parents must apply online to Cornwall Council for a school place for their child and places are allocated by Cornwall Council, according to criteria set out in the admissions policy. This includes whether you live in the school’s designated area and whether there are siblings at the school.
For admissions for the 2023-2024 Reception class please follow the Cornwall LA admissions guidance which can be accessed by clicking HERE.
All other year groups, admissions must be done by completing an ‘in-year’ application form which must be sent to:
Admissions and Transport (Policy),
Camel Building, County Hall,
Treyew Road,
Truro,
TR1 3AY
The Cornwall admissions authority will then contact you to let you know if your application has been successful. If your application is unsuccessful you will have the option to go on a waiting list or to go to appeal. If you wish to appeal, please contact Cornwall Council who will inform you of the process.
If you would like to find out more about admitting your child to Penpol School or would like to take a guided tour, please telephone on 01736 753472 or call in to the school office to make an appointment.
