Overall Junior Star of the Week

Class 10 – Year 4 – Reuben

I am delighted to give Rueben overall start of the week. He is an extremely knowledgable child and always offers very sophisticated thoughts to any discussion. Reuben certainly keeps me on my toes and I always look forward to our lighthearted debates.

Reuben has managed to read The Order of the Phoenix is under two weeks and even managed to pass the quiz with flying colours! This has seen Reuben reach the top of the class’s reading challenge. Well done 🙂

It’s an absolute pleasure having you in the class Reuben.

Class 2 – Reception – Ebbie

Class 2’s star of the week is Ebbie.

We have all been super impressed this week with the learning Ebbie has been doing in phonics and her reading. Ebbie has been doing some great learning blending her sounds together to write words and is now starting to write some captions on her whiteboard. She has been doing some great work with her learning partner and has shown she is a kind friend both in the class and out in the playground. Well-done Ebbie on a fantastic week in class 2!

Rhys is like having a human calculator in class. He has been working really hard both at school and home to learn his times tables and improve his mental arithmetic.   He is amazing at 3 minutes maths and speed tables and this is really helping with the more formal written calculations we are learning in class at the moment. Well done Rhys, keep up the good work

Mrs Hamilton

Class 11 –Year 5 –Rebecka,

Rebecka is extremely hard working and takes great pride in her learning.  Her improvement in Maths is testament to her perseverance, having found the written multiplication method a struggle to begin with. Her work is also incredibly well presented.

Well-done, Rebecka!

Mr  Pollard / Mr Emery

I have been very pleased with Emma’s attitude to learning recently. She has been working harder and getting more involved with class discussions by putting her hand up to contribute with more confidence. I have been pleased with her efforts in Maths and English. She has done some extra creative writing at home and spends time revising on Mathletics. Members of staff have also commented on her caring attitude and helpfulness. Keep up the great work Emma!
