Penpol School

Forward together

School Information

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Penpol School!  We are determined to help your child to reach his/her full potential in a happy, constructive and successful way. We believe in offering a wide range of opportunities for the pupils and we support this aim through providing a broad curriculum and by having many extra-curricular activities. The after-school activities are run by staff, parents and visiting coaches and enthusiasts and we are grateful for their time. It is our hope that the pupils will sample as many activities as possible as they journey through the school and find areas of learning that they enjoy. As they develop they will acquire new skills, knowledge and understanding.

As a staff we believe that however good a school may be, there are always ways in which parts can be improved. To this end we keep all of our procedures under review. If you can see ways in which any aspects of school life can be improved or if you would like to become involved in helping with our lively programme of activities then please let me know.

We have a very enthusiastic, hard-working Parent Friend's Association and I would encourage any of you to please offer your support to this group who do so much to benefit our school.

We are very keen to get to know you as a family and we believe that it is only by home and school working together that your child's full potential can be realised. If you are worried about your child's educational development then your first point of contact is the class teacher. If you would like to make an appointment to see me then please talk to Vicki or Daphne in the school office.

Over the years we have enjoyed success in many areas through; academic achievement, music, drama, sport, fund-raising for charity and through linking with other schools and the community. Many of our ex-pupils maintain links with the school and call in to see us when they can. We feel that we are a 'school family' where everyone has equal access and an opportunity to develop themselves.

Our motto is ‘Forward Together’.

Thank you for considering us.

Yours sincerely,

Aidan Doyle
